The Blue Jackal

There was a Jackal named Chandrao who lived in a Jungle.
One fine day he was wandering in a village in the search of some food.
The dogs in the village saw the Jackal;
they surrounded him, barked at him
and attacked him.
Jackal ran for his life
and entered the house of the local washerman.
Inside the house, he found a vat
filled with blue dye inside,
Jackal jumped in the Vat.
The Dogs of the village did not recognize him when he came out.
They did not recognize the Jackal because he was dyed in blue color.
Dogs started running in all the directions out of terror.
By the afternoon Chandrao was back in his own jungle.
Other animals also felt terrorized. For them, it was an alien roaming in the jungle.
Jackal heard the scared yellings of other animals inquiring about a new unknown creature.
Clever jackal at once plotted a scheme.
He went right into the middle of the jungle
and announced,
“My dear friends,
the creator of this universe lord Brahma
created me with his own hands
and sent me here with a message
that this jungle has no king
so I should come here and protect you.
I am obeying his command and that’s why I am here.
Now I am your king,
stay with peace and happiness in my kingdom.
Lord Brahma has elected me as the king of heaven,
hell and earth.
Lord Brahma has elected me as the king of heaven, hell, and earth.
Everybody accepted the command of the blue Jackal.
They all assembled in front of him.
king, Your wish is our command.
Please order us.”
Jackal distributed the responsibilities,
he kept most of the animals for his personal service.
The clever Jackal
also sent all the other jackals out of the jungle,
he was afraid that they might recognize him.
All the animals started following the orders.
Lion and tiger
started to bring fresh meals for their new king.
Chandrao enjoyed his new status for few days.
One evening
he heard the voice of a pack of Jackals.
Driven by his natural instincts he swayed with emotions
raised his neck
and started Howling “Hua Hua”.
Other animals also heard this howling,
they realized that it is a Jackal and they are being fooled.
Jackal also realized his foolhardy,
he ran for his life,
but an escape was impossible in the presence of so many animals.
It is needless to talk about the treatment that he received from the other jungle mates.
