0:15 – Now, you can permanently brand an invisible fluorescing mark… with vehicle vins and even logo artwork… into painted, coated, fiberglass and smooth plastic parts.
0:32 – Make sure your part is clean and dry. Wipe with denatured alcohol prior to the process.
0:45 – Use the Insta Etch smartphone app to scan the vehicle barcode to produce a custom stencil within seconds.
1:04 – Inspect your stencil and take note of the shiny side of the stencil paper.
1:11 – Use Insta Etch Step number one adhesive …2-3 light sprays to the shiny stencil side.
1:20 – Now apply the wetted stencil, shiny side down to the part. You can slide the stencil to pinpoint its placement, then use the plastic quick reference card to scrape residual Step number one adhesive from beneath the stencil.
1:36 – To obtain the highest resolution marks, let the stencil fully dry to the part, usually 30 seconds to a minute or more.
1:44 – And finally is the step three invisible marking gel.
1:49 – Brush two light coats of the uv fluid on top of the activated stencil.
2:11– Now you should let the uv fluid bond to the part for 15-30 seconds.
2:19 – With a gloved hand, take the stencil off the part in one consistent motion.
2:26 – The mark is invisible under most lighting conditions but fluoresces under a simple uv light.
2:34 – Amazing results! Discrete, permanent asset marking, in seconds.
