I tend to get more severe asthma attack which typically result in a nebuliser in Hospital. With covid being a big worry in hospitals I worry how it would effect my breathing. This asthma attack lasted 2 hours and took 11 puffs of my ventolin to settle. I didn't film the attack at it's worse as I choked a lot on phlegm and was quite scary to watch. I didn't think was fair to share with audiences.

The attack came on suddenly at 12:30am with a small wheeze. I was tired which made the wheeze escalate. 10 minutes later I had to put all of my focus on breathing slower and deeper to prevent a panic-induced asthma attack. Unfortunately, my breathing exercises didn't help and my wheeze started to turn to my choking on build-ups of phlegm. I edited out large parts where it appeared I was throwing/coughing up large amounts of phlegm. During this stage my throat started to go into spasm, shutting and closeing my airways for 10-15 seconds at a time. I started feeling like I was going to blackout. I had to lean against a wall for support and keep my eyes shut to focus. This is usually when I would normally seek EMERGENCY help! With COVID being a massive risk I have avoided visits to A&E. I try my best to take my inhaler in between each throat spasm through my spacer. 11 puffs later my throat finally stopped spasming and stopped overproducing phlegm. I could finally catch my breath. The attack slowed down around 2:30am.

I had an 8 month bad chest infection back in 2018 which I think left my lungs damaged. Because of this I now suffer from asthma attacks.
