Palaces and Parks of Potsdam, Berlin - UNESCO World Heritage Site

The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam lies just outside Berlin. It's home to several royal palaces built in the 17th and 18th centuries on the orders of Emperor Frederick the Great. You can visit the Sans Souci Schloss, the Orangerie, the Neu Palace, and many other small pavilions. It's set in a large garden area with fountains, sculptures and lovely flower beds - even on a cold winter's day it's very beautiful!
