This video is a continuation of my previos vlog "Holy trip to Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala and Kukke Subramanya". Like I mentioned in my previous vlog we are in Kukke subramanya to perform Naga pratishte pooja. Watch this video till the end to know more about sarpasamskara pooja performed in kukke subramanya temple. This video about kukke subramanya has all the details one should know before visiting there, If any important information is missing please share it in the comments. My favourite thing about kukke subramanya is the view of temple tower or gopura, the temple is located amidst the scenic background of kumara parvatha hill, Kumaradhara river, the feel and vibe of the temple street and the monsoon season here. Dharmasthala and Kukke subramanya seems very familiar to me as myself and my family keep visiting here quite often since my childhood.
Sarpa samskara is a 2 to 3 days ritual performed in kukke. The seva booking has to be done online. First step will be Sankalpa, an oath taken to fulfill the ritual without any distractions and asking god to favor and guide the performer to complete the ritual successfully, then an hour long ritual will be performed by inviting all the serpent kings, chanting mantras and slokas, asking them to forgive the sin the performer or their ancestor would've committed in this life or in previous lives by killing a serpent knowingly or unknowingly. This process is similar to the cremation process that a family would follow in case of demise of dear ones. for the rest of the day the ritual performer and their family are not supposed enter the temple. Next day Ashlesha bali pooja will be performed and at the end naga pratishte will be performed, this is installation of snake statue at the temple in the name of the ritual performer.
