This course will expand upon the principles that were introduced during the previous week's seminar. The focus of the discussion will be the use of Finite Element Modeling to perform the analysis of a Network Tied Arch Bridge. Our bridge engineer, Pouya Banibayat, will cover the following topics:

Special case of Erection by Cable Stayed Method for the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo Bridge
This scope of this project was outlined in the previous presentation. This session will include an in-depth study of the construction that includes a simulation of each stage with their respective temporary supports and temporary retaining elements during arch construction.

How to obtain Pretension Forces in Hangers for optimization
Properly calculating these forces is essential because the structural integrity of the bridge relies heavily on the hangars. A demonstration will be performed on how to use numerical modeling software to obtain pretension forces that meet the required criteria.
