Parking next to Crummock Water, Abbie climbs Lad Hows to reach the airy summit of Grasmoor, then ventures along the ridge to capture Crag Hill and Whiteless Pike. Then, depending via Rannerdale Valley, they are greeted by a blissful carpet of bluebells, said to have sprung up from those fallen during the battle of Rannerdale.
