Thank you so much for your patience with this series but the first nail care video is finally here, all about a few good nail habits that can make all the difference if you're trying to grow out your natural nails! Do keep in mind that these things help so much to grow long nails but you might not want to have long nails or might not be able to because of job / lifestyle / preference - and that's ok. When I worked in food service, I couldn't have long nails either and they were short, peeling, and sad because of all the water and chemical exposure. These are just videos showing how I care for my nails now and what steps helped me to grow them out to the long nails I've had for the past 4 years. :)

This may not be what you want to hear, but, if you want to grow out your nails, you need to start acting like you have long nails. Welcome back to cutting all my nails off so we can grow them back together, and it’s time to form some good nail habits so that we can go from this to this. You probably already know to use a glass file from a reputable brand (some of the Amazon ones are straight trash babe) and to not ever pick at things with your nails - I see you. Stop it. Your nails are jewels not tools and even if they’re short rn you need to treat them nicely, ok?
And don’t ever wash dishes without gloves, prolonged water exposure weakens your nails. 💅🏻 Wear nail polish to protect your nails, and apply a jojoba based cuticle oil every single day. This will keep your nails hydrated and flexible and help them bend instead of break off, and even help prevent hangnails and crusty cuticles. If you just watched this and thought “nah, that seems like too much work” that’s fine, you do you boo, but honestly, once these things become a habit, you won’t even notice them and pretty soon you’ll be telling people:
