See how one abrasive disc
See how one abrasive disc can single-handedly remove a variety of impurities from a series of substrates. With silicon carbide abrasive mineral incorporated in a non-woven nylon web, the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip XT Disc is aggressive enough to remove coatings, but conformable and responsive enough to leave the base material unaltered.
First, the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip XT Disc makes quick work of a heavily rusted surface. If you don’t have the space to store all your steel indoors, rust will happen – and as you can see, this disc makes it easy to remove that rust.
Next up is a thin steel box with some scale on the surface. When removing scale from thin steel, there is a risk of cutting too deep. But the Scotch-Brite™ disc removes the scale without damaging the workpiece.
On the third substrate, a metal box with large welds, Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip XT removes the scale, weld spatter, heat discoloration and rust without taking down the weld. In some industries, like agriculture, a thick, visible weld is preferred. The product removes all the discoloration and impurities from the workpiece without cutting too deep into the metal or removing the weld.
