This video covers the FEVP02 that took place in Cambodia in April 2017. We went to visit the zircon producing area in the Ratanakiri Province of Cambodia. Most of the blue zircons found in the trade World wide were actually mined from that Province in Cambodia. Interestingly they are not found as blue gems but they are turned blue thanks to the skills of local burners, that were once described by a French gemologist as modern times alchemists as they were turning these gems from an unattractive muddy brownish red color to a delicate sky blue one.
