ORVIS casting instructor Peter Kutzer explains how to cast heavy flies in the wind. In both freshwater and saltwater fishing locations, wind is an element that must be dealt with. Just because the wind is blowing, it does not mean the fish are not feeding. Because of this, it is very important to learn the skills to fish through blowing winds.
