From an original 16 mm print of the 1975 Canadian movie The Christmas Tree filmed at Canukr Studios Oshawa. The film was shown in schools in the 1970s and 80s then somewhat disappeared. Director George Mendeluk, Mike Mazurki (old man in the forest), Michael Zenon (father - better known as Joe Two Rivers from the classic Canadian TV show The Forest Rangers). This is from a Ukrainian story by Mykhailo Kotsiubinsky (in Ukrainian - Ялинка - Михайло Коцюбинський).
