Drone Fishing with Slide Baits 400 Metres Offshore

Drone fishing NZ's Te Arai Beach north of Auckland using the AEE Condor Fishing Drone with Newton 3 Drone Release system. The drone fishing rig used here has a large break out sinker, that is cast out up to 400m (only limited by the amount of line on the reel), then a non-return slidebait clip with a live Kahawai bait is clipped on from shore, which can only go out towards the sinker. The hope was to catch kingfish as this method is lethal on them, today was a catch and release of a Bronze Whaler shark, which was a great fight despite not being the target species.
