You can e-Verify your Income Tax Return in just 6 Easy Steps through the Net Banking portal of SBI – State Bank of India.
Step 1: Go to the SBI Net Banking Portal at https://retail.onlinesbi.com/
and Login to your account
Step 2: Click on “e-Tax” and Select “Login to e-Filing or e-Verify”.
Step 3: Select your account
Step 4: Enter the OTP
Step 5: Check the PAN/TAN number and Click on “Confirm”
Step 6: Click on “e-Verify”. Your tax return is now e-Verified.
In this video, we also explain the importance of Verifying your tax return as the Income Tax Department will process your return and initiate a refund, if any, only after you finish verification. After you have successfully submitted your ITR, you must verify your return within 120 days. Because, if you fail to do so, your return will be considered invalid by the ITD.
