Basically HD foam stands for High Density Foam. EPS Foam in Manufactured in Many Different Densities, and some EPS manufacturers produce their foam in 1 pound, 1.25, 1.5, 2 and 3 pound densities. If you place one cubic foot of EPS foam on a scale and it weighs 1 pound, then it is considered to be one pound density.
