Tenjimbashi-Suji, Longest Shopping Street in Japan, Osaka City

"Shotengai"- as they are known in Japanese, are the Shopping Streets in Japan, usually covered with a roof to protect from the elements and are located on the street level.  They sell everything from everyday items to high end goods like Cameras and computers.  They also contain various grocery stores, food stalls, bars, pachinko parlors and bars.  The Tenjimbashi-Suji is one such shopping street, located in Osaka City.  It is the longest shopping street in Japan.   2.6 kilometers long and spanning seven city blocks it is the most elaborate and fun shopping streets in Osaka.
