Yasmine Ahmed of HRW on the 'hypocrisy of the international community' regarding Palestinians

Yasmine Ahmed, UK Director of Human Rights Watch, highlights the “hypocrisy” of western leaders in their response to the loss of Palestinian civilians lives in contrast to their response to the loss of civilian lives in Ukraine.

Speaking at  a panel discussion hosted by the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) on Monday, Ahmed said that the number of Palestinian civilians killed by Israeli bombardment in two weeks - around 8,000 - was equal to nearly 90 percent of the number of civilians killed in Ukraine over 19 months.
