Lesson 1.2 - OCTAVE TUTORIAL (MATLAB): HELP FUNCTION, DISP FUNCTION, INPUT FUNCTION.
• On Command windows = type help disp. Octave will explain in detail how the help function can be used
Examples:
- help disp
- disp =("Hello world!)" %Both on Octave and on command windows
• Documentation section on Octave can be used as a help guide. If you go under function index and type in
disp octave will explain what is meant by disp
input octave will explain what is meant by input
floor octave will explain what is meant by floor
Round octave will explain what is meant by round

• What is input function? The input function allows you to ask user to type some sort of information into the program and to save that information into a variable that the program can process
Examples:
- input =("Hello world!")
- input =("pick a number:")
- input =(“Pick a number, any number:”)
