Innovation is a zig zag journey that starts with one thing in mind and ends with something totally different. Designer and innovator, Kapil Kane, explains the process of innovation from inside companies. He shares his own story of failure after failure after failure that led to some of the world's most iconic technology devices, from one of the world’s most valuable companies.   Kapil received his Masters degree from Stanford University in California and Bachelors from National Institute of Technology in India- both in Mechanical Engineering and Design. He has spent a decade each living and working in the US and China, with the last 9 years based out of Shanghai.  Kapil's innovation and design experience spans electronics, astrophysics, particle accelerators and automobiles.  This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
