Top 5 Benefits of Olive Oil in Soap

This is our second episode of soap chat. Today we discuss a brief history of olive oil soap and my top 5 benefits of having olive oil in soap. Olive oil is renowned for its health benefits. So, it isn't surprising that since ancient times, olive oil has been used to make soap. It stimulates new cell generation, slows down wrinkle development and gives skin a youthful look. Olive oil soap provides anti-inflammatory effects to help heal skin abrasions, rashes and even sunburns. Olive oil soap is known to provide relief to skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. So many people turn to over the counter "soaps".  Don't get me wrong- many of them provide the relief that people are looking for, but they are jam packed with  chemicals and detergents and aren't even technically soap. I suggest trying a Castile soap made from pure olive oil. It is so gentle on your skin that even babies can use it.
