Vectors contain elements of both M13 or f1 or fd phages and plasmids that hybrid vectors are called phagemids
pUC8 + 1300bp of m13 which contains the all cis elements required for DNA replication and phage morphogenesis.
Phagemids have two origins of DNA replications one derived from the plasmid and other from single stranded DNA phages
Other elements of the phagemids are lacz’, MCS and Bla gene
Vector is propagated and replicated as plasmid when it is all alone in E.coli, whenever such strain is infected with f1  then the  f1 origin  of replication is used and single stranded DNA (SSDNA) is produced and released into the media
