How to Make an Art Shrine

Extend your art journal to 3-d by building this shrine from basic, inexpensive, recycled materials.  Part 1 - building the basic structure and paper mache. Part 2 - paper mache angels I added to my stage.  
There are so many great products for shrine making, like Tim Holtz' locks, door knobs, and legs - you could go wild - but this video is building the structure, first, without the frills.  Which you can decorate to your heart's content.
Materials:
cardboard box (recycled)
newspaper or magazine (recycled)
scissors
flour/water paste (instructions included here)
white acrylic craft paint
gesso (optional)
paint brushes
