Nonfiction Text "Toads" by Alyse Sweeney Read 2:    • Interactive Read Aloud (Read 2) - Kin...   Parents/Guardians, We are currently in a literacy unit all about Frogs and Toads. Some of the texts we are reading are nonfiction. We will be learning to identify key details and recall the information the book has taught us. During this first reading of "Toads," students are being asked simple recall questions what they just heard read to them (What are some of a toad's predators? Where does a toad live? etc.). Remember, when you read to your child, make sure that they understand what is being read by asking them questions. Don't be afraid to stop and ask them what they just heard. Sometimes, going back and re-reading it will help them better understand what the book is saying. Feel free to leave me a comment below!
