উন্নয়নের স্বার্থে, তিন সিটি নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগের প্রার্থীকেই ভোটাররা নির্বাচিত করবে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন নৌ পরিবহনমন্ত্রী শাজাহান খান। শনিবার (২৮ জুলাই) বিকেলে মাদারীপুরে নিজ বাসভবনে সাংবাদিকদের সাথে আলাপকালে একথা বলেন তিনি।
নৌ পরিবহনমন্ত্রী শাহজাহান খান বলেন, একটা ঘটনা ঘটেছে, সেটা নিয়ে বিভিন্ন মতামত আসছে। তবে, আমি মনে করি এর সঙ্গে যারাই জড়িত থাকুক। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুযায়ী ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। এই ব্যাপারে সরকার কাউকে ছাড় দেওয়া হবে না।
