Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja
Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja glorifying Patita Pavana Sri Nityananda Prabhu on His holy appearance day on 2nd of February 1996.
Just a few days later Maharaja went to Sridham Mayapur where he left his body and disappeared from our mortal vision.

dayā koro more nitāi, dayā koro more
agatira gati nitāi sādhu loke bole
jaya prema bhakti dātā-patākā tomāra
uttama adhama kichu nā koilo bicāra
prema dāne jagajanera mana kaila sukhi
tumi hena dayāra ṭhākura āmi kene dukhi
kānu rāma dāsa bole ki bolibo āmi

1. O my Nitai, please shower your mercy on me. All sadhus say, "You are so merciful, You give the right destination to the fallen souls."
2. Lord Nityananda has a flag. That flag gives prema-bhakti. He never discriminates whether one is uttama or adhama, most elevated or most degraded. He gives prema-bhakti to one and all.
3. Sri Nityananda Prabhu gives prema to one and all and makes the whole world happy. You are such a merciful Thakura, why am I so unhappy?
4. Kanu Rama dasa says, "What more shall I say? O Lord Nityananda, You are the Lord of our parampara; so this is a great hope for me, that You are such a merciful Lord.

3) Oh! Seeing the miserable condition of the fallen souls of this world, Nitai has personally brought the holy name from the transcendental realm of Vraja! Oh! Lord Siva chants this holy name with his five mouths! (This holy name is so sweet!) Oh! Lord Brahma chants this holy name with his four mouths! (This holy name is so sweet!) Oh! Narada Muni chants this holy name while playing on his vina! (This holy name is so sweet!) Oh! Just by the dim reflection of this holy name, the sinful Ajamila went to Vaikuntha! "Oh! While continuously chanting this holy name, go at once to the divine realm of Vraja! This holy name is so sweet!" (Bhaktivinoda therefore says.)

ābaddha karuṇā-sindhu niṭāi kāṭiyā mohān
ghare ghare bule prema-amiyār bān
locan bole mor nitāi jebā nā bhajilo
jāniyā śuniyā sei ātma-ghātī hoilo
1) My Lord Nityananda, the jewel of all virtues, my Lord Nityananda, the jewel of all virtues, has brought the flood of ecstatic love of God that has drowned the entire world.
2) Bringing this overwhelming deluge of prema when He returned to Bengal from Jagannatha Puri on Lord Caitanya's order, Nitai has inundated the assembly of devotees. The fallen nondevotees did not drown, however, but remained floating on that ecstatic ocean.
3) Lord Nityananda freely offered this exalted prema, which is difficult for Lord Brahma to attain, even to the fallen and wretched souls who did not desire it.
4) The ocean of mercy had formerly been sealed tight, but Nitai cut a channel in its boundary to allow the great flooding waves of nectarean prema to splash from house to house.
5) Locana dasa says, "Whoever has not worshiped my Nitai or taken advantage of this excellent opportunity offered by Him knowingly commits suicide."
