Pakistan is poised to purchase Chinese 5th generation stealth fighters, potentially making it the first foreign partner to purchase the jets. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is seeking to acquire China’s fifth-generation FC-31 Gyrfalcon stealth fighter aircraft in “the near future”. Experts say Pakistan fielding of FC-31 5th-generation stealth fighters would give it “a certain tactical advantage, most prominently in air-to-air combat". Experts say India needs to overcome its shrinking squadron and delays in its acquisition of both foreign and domestic warplanes.
