In this video you will see connection between leverage and lot size.
You will see leveraged position and what means having maximum leverage and actual leverage.
Maximum available leverage is the leverage you get from your broker. In this example I have 1:100 and 1:500 leverage. That is maximum available leverage.
Second one is actual Leverage which is defined by the open position and account balance. You need to divide open position with account balance and you get actual leverage you are using on open order.
Leverage and Lot size are connected each time you open a trade. Your goal is not to use whole available leverage, but to comply to your risk management strategy.
Maximum leverage should be used only if you can sustain large loss if it happens.
