Description:

Print header on all pages and add Header and footer in Excel

The header here includes the header, the heading of  table, and the headings of columns, and the footer of  table refers to the footer. If the pages of the document do not have a header and footer, we can add them, the addition method is different from Ms Word inserting a header footer, but the method is simple, and both the header and footer have three input boxes for adding text, we can add text to one, or we can add two or even three at the same time.

One. Print header in excel on all pages (Excel print headers on each sheet)

1. Select the "Page Layout" tab, click the "Print Titles" icon, open the "Page Setup" window, select the "Sheet" tab, click the input box on the right of the "Rows to repeat at top" to position the cursor where, select the name ande title of table with the pointor, then $1:$2 automatically fill in the input box, click "OK".

Description: $1 in $1:$2 is an absolute reference to the first row, and $2 is an absolute reference to the second row. In addition, in addition to the name of  table, each column header must be selected, otherwise after the second page, only the name of table is displayed and not each column heading.

2. View the Print preview

1. Select "File" → Print in turn, the print preview effect of the first page of the current workbook will be displayed.

2. Click the Left Arrow on the right of "1 of 3", then switch to page 2, there are also name and title of  table.

Note: If there are multiple sheets in an Excel document and you want to print more than two sheets that print headers and footers per page, set "Print Title" once for each sheet, otherwise only the sheet that has been set will print headers and footers per page.

Two. Header and footer in Excel

(1) Set the header

1. Select the "View" tab, click "Page Layout" in the upper left corner of the screen, then the window will display multiple pages horizontally and a ruler will appear, and a header will appear at the top of the page.

2. Click "Add Header" to position the cursor where, enter the text we want to place in the header, such as "Clothing sales statistics table", then each page of the document is set with a header.

The Font Size of  header defaults to size 11, but if we think it's too small, we can select the "Home" tab, click the Font Size drop-down list box and choose a larger font size.

3. There are three input boxes in the header left, middle and right, we can put text in any of them, or put text in all three input boxes, for example, put text in all three input boxes.

(2) Set the footer

1. Drag down the slider on the right of the window, until the end of the first page to see "Add Footer", click "Add Footer", enter the text we want to place in the footer, such as "Clothing sales statistics table", then each page of the document is set with a footer.

2. The footer, like the header, also has three input boxes, and we can put the text into one input box or put the text into two or three input boxes at the same time.
