This is a continuation of the previous video on how to remove the starter.  Installation or replacement is basically the reverse of removal.  f  you are interested to watch that part, click here:  How To Remove Starter Honda Accord 20...

This step-by-step tutorial, tips & trick was performed on a 2007 Honda Accord which will require the removal of upper intake manifold which has the air inlet Chamber assembly, which could be helpful for those looking for a guide on how to remove the intake manifold or the Chamber Assembly (Honda 17160-RTA-000).  For model years 2003-2005, there is no need to remove the Intake Manifold Inlet (17110-RAA-A10) or the air filter assembly & hoses.  We're not sure about the 3.0L VTEC Accord but the process could be the same.

If you car won't start then most likely it is the starter motor.   When you turn the key in your car’s ignition, the engine turns over and then cranks. Getting a crank requires a flow of air into the engine, which can only be achieved by creating suction. If your engine isn’t turning over, there’s no air. No air means that fuel can’t combust. The starter motor is responsible for turning the engine over during ignition and allowing everything else to happen. When you turn the ignition on, the starter motor engages and turns the engine over allowing it to suck in air. On the engine, a flywheel, with a ring gear attached around the edge, is fitted to the end of the crankshaft. On the starter, the pinion is designed to fit into the grooves of the ring gear. When you turn the ignition switch, the electromagnet inside the body engages & pushes out a rod to which the pinion is attached. The pinion meets the flywheel and the starter motor turns. This spins the engine over, sucking in air (as well as fuel). As the engine turns over, the starter motor disengages, and the electromagnet stops. The rod retracts into the starter motor once more, taking the pinion out of contact with the flywheel and preventing potential damage.

The primary function of the intake manifold is to evenly distribute the combustion mixture (or just air in a direct injection engine) to each intake port in the cylinder head(s). Even distribution is important to optimize the efficiency and performance of the engine.  How Does an Intake Manifold Work? Air travels through the intake and the throttle body into the plenum of the intake manifold. When the intake valve closes, it creates pressure waves that send the air back up the runner. It then bounces off the plenum and comes back into the cylinder when the intake valve opens again.

Obviously, Aiman's auto repair videos are mostly designed for entertainment purposes.  Aiman is not a professional and not a certified ASE mechanic.  If you're looking for instructions or steps on how to fix or diagnose problems with your car, SUV, minivan or vehicle repair, how to remove, replace or install parts, you should always watch more than just one videos.  The videos should always be used only as a guide.  Manufacturers always recommend using genuine OEM parts but sometimes cheaper aftermarket can be as good as the originals.
