It is approximately 100 years old and was constructed by a local furniture maker which is of course no longer in business. It was falling apart, chipped, broken, and missing glass panes but overall in fair shape. It had five layers of paint, at least one of them being lead paint, and old, crusty varnish. This project required removal of the lead paint, filling 10,000 nail holes, repairing chipped wooden legs, wood working, sanding, staining and finishing, and assembly.
