"On October 1998...you're gonna carry that weight."
To celebrate the recent release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (and in turn the conclusion to what's probably the best MCU trilogy and one of the best superhero trilogies of all time) here's the first Vol. 3 trailer but remixed to everyone's favourite space western anime - Cowboy Bebop! Okay, I'm going to level with you all. This was actually supposed to come out when the second trailer dropped but I forgot about it for awhile then quickly came back to finish it so it could be released in a still somewhat relevant time. As such it's probably not as good as it could be. At one point I intended to change all the dialogue in it to lines from Cowboy Bebop but as you can tell by the finished thing, that only happened in two instances. Let's be frank though, a lot of the lines in the trailer absolutely slap and go surprisingly well with Bebop footage. Mantis' "Don't forget where we came from" alongside Faye seeing the old videotape of her younger self fits perfectly. I was almost tempted to leave the "It's time to face the music" inter-titles from the original trailer too, because that fits with Bebop as well. But in the end I couldn't resist putting in a "You're gonna carry that weight" reference. Honestly, it would probably feel incomplete without it. So, anyone, go see Guardians 3. It's really good. And watch the original Cowboy Bebop anime if you haven't already. Even if the story doesn't quite captivate you, you at least owe it to yourself to get an eye-full of the show's beautiful animation and visuals. Hope you all enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Trailer but it's Cowboy Bebop instead!
