1. SOUNDBITE (English) Ralph Macchio, actor:
"I would have potentially done that over when she was written out. You know, I was on to -- I was doing a movie called 'Teachers' at the time, and then I had a 'Crossroads' and 'Karate Kid II' were lined up and I didn't stop to think of what that might have felt like for her. You know, I was just on. So then years later, I look back and I think I would have probably picked up the phone at that point because we had no relationship after the movie. She went on to her career and just stellar career. And I was doing my stuff and and we reconnected 30 (years)... on Cobra Kai season three. And it was just this awkward 'Oh my God.' And she said, and I laugh at that because I said, 'That's it. Oh my God. Who else were you expecting?' We still laugh at that night."
