Whether you signed into your Amazon Prime Video account at someone else's house, or you have a streaming device like a Roku that you're getting rid of, it's important to remove and deregister those devices from your Amazon Prime Video account. Deregistering that device from your Amazon Prime Video account ensures that other people aren't able to watch your content and see sensitive information associated with your account.
Now let's walk through the steps to remove a device from your Amazon Prime Video account.
Step 1. Open a web browser, navigate to www.Amazon.com, and then click "Prime Video" on your Amazon home screen. You'll land on your Amazon Prime Video home screen.
Step 2. Click the "Settings" icon to open a drop-down menu, and then click "Settings" in that menu. The Account and Settings screen is displayed.
Step 3. Click "Your Devices." A list of your devices registered with your Amazon Prime Video account is displayed.
Step 4. Find the device you want to remove, and then click "Deregister." The button changes to ask if you're sure you want to remove this device from your Amazon Prime Video account.
Step 5. Click "Are You Sure." That device will immediately be removed from your Amazon Prime Video account.
