In this video we'll be using my Creality Ender 3 3D printer to make a Datsun Logo for my 1978 Datsun 280z, Files downloads are on Thingiverse.com (below)

My classic Datsun 280z logo was old and cracked, and when I replaced my carbon fiber wing, I decided that it was time to make a new logo using my creality ender 3.

What's awesome is 3D printers have really gotten affordable over the last couple years and they are available for regular people to buy and use for whatever you'd like. I print parts for my car using this 3D printer but I use ABS for added heat resistance.

First I use a program called Fusion 360 - Fusion 360 is great because it's a very high quality software but it's free for hobbyists if you want to download it and give it a try. The bad part is that it requires a lot of self-learning to figure out the software.

Next I use a slicer called Cura. A slicer software essentially 'slices' your 3D model into tiny strands and then the 3D printer knows where to lay the plastic down to create your shape. Once you get your printer settings down, printing this in ABS is no problem. I use the standard print settings for ABS in cura and 5 lines of a brim for bed adhesion.

Thanks for watching!
