18 वीं लोकसभा का पहला सत्र खत्म हो चुका है. स्पीकर चुने जा चुके हैं, सरकार ने काम काज शुरू कर दिया. लेकिन चुनाव सिर्फ भारत में ही नहीं दुनिया भर में चल रहे हैं. अमेरिका की प्रतिष्ठित टाइम मैगजीन ने साल 2024 को ग्लोबल इलेक्शन ईयर डिक्लेयर किया था. यानी दुनिया भर में चुनावों का साल और ये गलत भी नहीं था. वो इसलिए क्योंकि साल 2024 में कुल 64 देशों में चुनाव होने थे जिसमें दुनिया की सबसे पुरानी डेमोक्रेसी अमेरिका और दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी डेमोक्रेसी भारत भी शामिल है. लेकिन बात सिर्फ़ भारत और अमेरिका की ही नहीं. बात रूस, यूरोपियन यूनियन, फ्रांस, ब्रिटेन और कनाडा और श्रीलंका जैसे देशों की भी है. जो न सिर्फ़ पूरी दुनिया की 50 प्रतिशत आबादी को कवर करते हैं बल्कि यहां बनने और बदलने वाली सरकारों का सीधा असर भारत और भारत की ग्रोथ पर भी पड़ने वाला है.
