Kolhapuri Chappal - Bottleneck in Process

The bottleneck of stitching:

Kolhapuri Chappals are basically open-toed, T-strap sandals that are locally tanned using vegetable dyes. Artisans from Maharashtra and Karnataka are involved in making these Chappals for centuries. It is originally made of buffalo hide and thread and can weigh up to 2.01 kilos, which results in its longevity. It can take up to six weeks to make a pair of Kolhapuri Chappal.

Making Kolhapuri Chappal is an elaborate process encompassing various operations like Skiving, Pattern Making, Cutting, Stitching, Finishing, Decorating, and finally assembling. Nowadays, Chappals have softer soles, and the upper and lower side flaps are machine stitched using white plastic thread. Still, in the entire process, not a single iron nail is used.
However, even amidst mechanism, the demand for authentic hand-stitched Kolhapuri Chappals is enormous.

The critical part is nylon or leather cord stitching, which is performed by professional stitching women. They can stitch max 10 pairs a day considering their health. But in the future, my dream is to make 1 lacks pairs per month. I am worried that I will not get enough women to produce this vast quantity. At the same time, the manufacturing process cannot be fully automated.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can overcome this bottleneck of stitching and can get a simple way out for this complex issue?
