Yarn : medium weight #4 (you only need about 3.5 oz / 100 grams of yarn)
Hook : 5.00mm / US H
Measurement : 20 inches / 50 cm circumference (un-stretch)
8 inches / 20 cm height

Make magic loop / ring
Round 1 : chain 2, make 12 dc in the loop. Slip sts. Close the hole in center by pulling the yarn tail
Round 2 : chain 2, 2 dc in every sts. Slip sts (24 sts)
Round 3 : chain 2, * 2 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 8x. Slip sts (32 sts)
Round 4 : chain 2, * 3 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 8x. Slip sts (40 sts)
Round 5 : chain 2, * 3 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 10x. Slip sts (50 sts)
Round 6 : chain 2, * 9 dc, 2 dc in next sts *, repeat * to * 5x. Slip sts (55 sts)
Round 7-12 : chain 2, 55 dc. Slip sts
Round 13 & 14 : chain 1, 55 hdc (crochet all sts in 3rd loop). Slip sts
Round 15 : chain 1, 55 sc (crochet all sts in 3rd loop). Slip sts
Chain 1 & cut yarn (just enough to weave in end)

Chain 1 & cut yarn. Cut enough yarn to sew it to the beanie.
Sew the ear at round 3 & 4
