Snoh Aalegra plays her song "Whoa" to a sold-out crowd at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California on December 2, 2019. Whoa appears on her third studio album, Ugh, Those Feels Again (2019). Snoh Aalegra is a Swedish-Iranian R&B singer-songwriter from Enköping, Sweden who has lived in Los Angeles since 2012. She has released three studio albums; the first was put out under her previous name, Sheri Nowrozi. Joining her onstage were Jacob Brody (guitar), Mike Phillips Jr. (bass), Ryan Adams (drums), and Patrick Young a/k/a Patrick De’Von (keyboards & guitar).

One of the most exciting voices in recent time, Iranian / Swedish singer and songwriter Sheri Nowrozi, better known as Snoh Aalegra, embodies a soulful sound reminiscent of Michael Jackson, Nina Simone, and Lauryn Hill, yet finds its own power, and connectivity, through Aalegra’s signature croon.
