2019 had great movies in every genre. Sam Mendes' epic war movie 1917 is a must-watch, and Martin Scorsese revived the gangster movie genre with the enthralling The Irishman.
Knives Out is arguably the best mystery film of the year, and comedy fans got their laughs from Jojo Rabbit and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. And yes, there were, of course, great superhero movies. Avengers: Endgame was everything Marvel fans could have wished for, and Spiderman: Far From Home has set the tone for the future of MCU movies.
