Learn how to make Mango Lassi, a quick and easy Indian Mango Yoghurt Smoothie that’s a refreshing summer drink. This is an authentic Punjabi recipe that’s largely sweet but also has a touch of savory. The basic recipe is just 5 ingredients and the rest is just garnish. This Mango Lassi recipe takes only a few minutes to make and can be prepared in advance.

The recipe is loved by people of all ages, but especially kids. It’s a wonderful way to add fruits into your children’s diets. It’s also great in extremely hot temperatures during the summer months. The cooling effect of yoghurt, mixed with the sweet flavours of mango, make this an essential Indian Summer Drink.

This recipe is a wonderful drink for vegetarians as well. If you do not eat dairy, you can substitute the yoghurt for Almond Milk or Soy Milk. However, you may have to adjust the sweetness level and maybe add a little bit of lemon juice to achieve the slightly acidic flavour of yoghurt.

Mango Lassi Ingredients:

Mango - 1 cup, diced
Yoghurt (Dahi) - 2 cups
Ice - 3-4 pieces
Almond - 1-2 pieces, finely chopped
Cashew Nuts - 1-2 pieces, finely chopped
Pistachio - 1-2 pieces, finely chopped
Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp, or a pinch
