How to Open a RPT File on PC

Do you have some account data files in RPT file format, and are not able to open them? In this video, we will learn how to open an RPT file on a PC. We will use the free SAP Crystal Reports Viewer to open the RPT file. Follow these easy steps.
1. Open your web browser, and type http://www.crystalreports.com/crystal... in the address bar.
2. This will open an SAP Crystal Reports Viewer web page.
3. Click on the “Download software now” button.
4. Type the required information in the Form, and then click on the Submit button at the bottom.
5. Check your email inbox, and will find an email for account activation from SAP.
6. Open this email, and click on a blue color button of “Click to activate your account”.
7. Once your account has been activated, and “Click here to download your software!” button.
8. Choose a location on your PC to save the CRV.exe file, and then click on the Save button.
9. This will start downloading Crystal Reports Viewer software.
10. Once the download is completed, click on the Up arrow of your downloaded file.
11. Click on the Show in folder option from the drop-down menu list.
12. Double click on the CRV.exe file name to start the software installation.
13. In the User Account Control pop-up window, click on the Yes button.
14. Click on the OK button.
15. Click on the Next button at the bottom, and then click on the Next button again.
16. Select your Language Packages, and click on the Next button.
17. This will start the installation of the SAP Crystal Reports viewer on your PC.
18. Once the installation is completed, click on the Finish button.
19. Close the opened Windows.
20. Click on the shortcut icon of SAP Crystal Reports Viewer to open it.
21. Read the License Agreement, and click on the I agree button at the bottom.
22. This will launch the Crytal Reports Viewer.
23. On the main page, click on the Browse for report link.
24. Select your RPT file, and click on the Open button.
25. See, we have successfully opened our RPT file on PC.
