Blindplay = I played this game without reading up other gameplays, walkthroughs, and FAQs; therefore I played this on my own, 100% trial & error and re-recorded my gameplay until I made it through in one shot.

Penguin Land is a puzzle platform game, second (out of 3) of the "Doki Doki Penguin Land" series.
I would probably rate* it a notch below Lode Runner and above Adventures of Lolo in terms of difficulty; mainly due to you having only 3 'lives' (although you can set a starting levels from 1 to 30, though there are 50 levels) and there are, like Solomon's Key, many traps and unseen parts where you can either trap yourself unable to progress, or 'accidentally' lose a life because you didn't see what laid before you.
- only personal observation.
The gameplay of Penguin Land is pretty simple in principle: You roll an egg down a ice maze so that it can safely reach the bottom without breaking.
If the egg falls below the white flashing line - it breaks (it will also break if you trap the egg down a single-block hole and step on it, or if a polar bear corners it and have himself a hearty omlette for lunch; as well as other animals that just want the egg broken for whatever reason)
Normally, the penguin can't "die" - if it gets punched by the polarbear or crushed by the falling columns, it will only pass out for about 5 seconds. If he falls off the bottom of the screen, it reappears from the top. You only lose a life if the egg breaks in any way
The penguin you control can "dig" through the ice floor (a-là Lode Runner, but they don't regenerate, though) where you or the egg can fall though, while the cracked blocks will break itself if the egg lands on it , but you can't break it afaik.
There will be more obstables in later levels. Stay tuned if I successfully pass through any other levels. ha.
