A Russian court sentences Robert Woodland, a Russian-born U.S. citizen, to more than 12 years on charges of selling illegal drugs.

And in Hong Kong, activist Joshua Wong asks a court for a shorter sentence because he admitted guilt. Wong was one of a group charged with holding an illegal primary election in 2021.
