Iridium Spark Plug Replacement - Mercury Mountaineer

This is a standard spark plug replacement job on a Mountaineer V6 with over 100K miles.  The engine has no ignition problems but the owner decided to upgrade to iridium spark plugs.  These plugs require less voltage (hence less strain on the ignition system) while providing a more precise and consistent spark.   The potential benefits are: better throttle response, fuel economy , engine power and reduced emissions (catalytic converter will last longer).
