This one-pot egg biryani is so easy to make!

Beginners and Even Bachelors can try this recipe .

You can cook the boiled eggs and the rice together in your instant pot and the two turn out perfectly cooked . Not only is this dish easy to make and budget-friendly it’s also absolutely delicious!

I am all about making one-pot Biryani because they are just so easy to make AND they taste just as good as biryani made the time-consuming way(cooking everything half-way then layering it together, then cooking it again). If you have an electric pressure cooker like the instant pot, then biryani suddenly becomes so much more accessible. It doesn’t have to be a “special occasion dish” because it’s easy enough to make.

Egg Biryani is a flavorful biryani made with exotic spices, rice and eggs. I am sure most of us like Biryani . There are different types of biryani and there are tons of variation. Here today I am going to share how I make this flavorful EGG biryani.

Serve the biryani with Onion raitha or cucumber Raitha ..


NOTE 👇

* If you want a rich biryani, you can substitute ghee instead of oil or use a combination of both.

*One important thing to do for any biryani is to gently wash the rice and soak it in lots of water for at-least 20 minutes. It helps in keeping the rice grains from becoming starchy and mushy later. So before starting to cook, soak the rice and then move on with the other steps.

* Adding the whole eggs is usual in biryanis but here in egg biryani I am smearing the eggs in hot oil with spices on a low medium flame and then we are adding it to the
biryani. So there is a crispy crust formed on top of the eggs which are quite unique in texture. Eggs cooking along with the rice give wonderful aroma at the end.

*   Rice :Water    1:2  Ratio  
The water mentioned is accurate for perfectly cooked biryani; please don’t add more water than the mentioned measurement.

* If you are making this egg biryani in pressure cooker then follow the same steps and cook it for 2 whistles.

* If you are a vegetarian then replace the eggs with paneer or vegetables. Still it will taste great and quite delicious.

INGREDIENTS 👇

For frying boiled eggs 👇

Oil -1/2 Tsp
Chilly powder-1/2 Tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 Tsp
Salt a pinch or 1/4 Tsp

For Preparation of Biryani 👇

Oil - As required
Bay leaves-2
Marathi moggu- 2
Cumin seeds-1/2 Tsp
Fennel seeds-1/2 Tsp
Cinnamon stick-2 (1/2 inch )
Cardamom- 2 pods
Cloves - 5 no's
Rice -300 grams (1.5 tumbler)
Boiled eggs-5 no's
Onion- 3 Medium size,sliced
Ginger garlic paste-1 Tsp
Mint leaves-1/2 bowl or fist full
Coriander leaves-1/2 bowl or fist full
tomatoes-4 medium size, sliced
curd -2 Tbsp
Chilly powder-1 Tbsp
Dhaniya powder-1Tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 Tsp
Garam masala-1 Tsp
Salt as per taste
water for cooking ( 1:2 Ratio)
