The transmission oils of the
The transmission oils of the SLS have to be replaced - first the oil for the gear set.
Read out the fault memory using Star Diagnosis.
Shift the transmission to neutral and switch off the ignition.
Raise the vehicle on a vehicle lift and detach the rear underfloor paneling and reinforcement.
Unscrew the parking brake controller unit.
Disconnect the connector, then detach the mounting nut of the parking brake cables.
Unscrew the three highlighted nuts on the controller unit.
The controller unit can be left hanging.
However, the rear reinforcement must be completely removed.
Remove four screws to do so.
On each side, remove three Torx bolts from the carriers.
Drain off the gear set oil.
Use a used oil receptacle for this purpose.
Open the highlighted drain screws.
Note: Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses!
Also drain the oil at the second drain screw.
Wait until the gear set oil has drained off.
Open the filling screw.
Screw the two drain screws back into the threaded holes.
Always replace the drain screws with integrated seal.
Fill the transmission with new oil.
Keep pumping until oil comes out of the filling hole.
Always let any excess oil drain out.
If the transmission is overfilled, it can be damaged.
Reseal the filling hole.
If the lubricating oil circuit has been opened, add transmission oil.
Allow the engine to run for one minute.
Read off the oil temperature using Star Diagnosis.
Access the actual values in the control unit of the dual clutch transmission.
Select "Temperature sensors".
The transmission oil may not be warmer than 40 °C.
Otherwise, let the oil cool down.
Note: Do not overfill the transmission!
Replace the hydraulic fluid.
Open the drain and filler screws and let the oil drain out.
Only then close the drain screw.
Screw the adapter for the oil dispenser into the threaded hole of the inlet.
Connect the oil dispenser and add oil.
,Use roughly one liter more than was drained off.
This means you can fill max. 8 liter into the transmission.
Shift through all of the gears with the engine idling.
Allow engine to idle in first gear until the oil has reached a testing temperature of 60 °C.
Check this with Star Diagnosis.
Drain off any excess oil with the transmission running.
Allow to drain until just a small quantity is dripping out.
Replace sealing ring of filling screw and close threaded hole with 25 Nm.
Transmission oil replacement is thus complete.
Reinstall all trim parts.
Test all of the gears in a subsequent test drive.
