Micro-adventures are a great way for families and friends to experience the joy of being in nature while at the same time learning some science behind it all.
Stargazing is one of those adventures! Despite popular belief, you really don’t need much equipment to get a taste for the wonders of the night sky, not even a telescope, which can be expensive and tricky to carry to your desired location.
Switch the telescope for some binoculars, get yourself some lightweight collapsible camping chairs, and throw in a warm blanket for good measure, and suddenly you’ll have a much more mobile fast and light way to make the commitment of going out at night for a few hours of adventure.
This stargazing guide is aimed at beginners who want to learn more about the celestial night sky, or want an excuse to escape outside in order to satisfy those adventurous urges.
