"The bruises aren’t going yellow or green, they’re just not changing colour, they’re purple and black and they’re not really going anywhere. But I ignored it."💬
Sam was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in 2016. She experienced chesty coughs for months, for which friends advised her to go to the doctor, but Sam chose to ‘ride it out and see how it goes’.
As more of the classic leukaemia symptoms started to occur, Sam was convinced her symptoms could be related to other medical conditions.
The aim of our #SpotLeukaemia campaign is to raise awareness of the signs of leukaemia. If you experience any of the #SpotLeukaemia symptoms, it’s time to visit your GP.
