Walking through the Canalejas Park
Walking through the Canalejas Park (Parque de Canalejas), the Esplanade of Spain Promenade (Explanada de España) and the center of Alicante city today.
The walk begins with the Canalejas Park (the extension of the Paseo de la Explanada Promenade) with its centenary trees, continues along the Paseo de la Explanada de España Esplanade of Spain Promenade, a promenade parallel to the port promenade, one of the most famous images of Alicante , for its wavy mosaic tile floor, which imitates the waves of the Mediterranean. At the end of the Paseo de la Explanada, at Puerta del Mar, we enter the old town of Alicante and city centre, the walk passes the townhall place (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) and the Cathedral of Alicante.
