Lodge carbon steel pans vs Vollrath review

I'm on the hunt for the a frying pan thats Iron, cheap, light weight, made in USA, and indestructible (within reason) which brought me to carbon steel pans that's all of the above. While Europe and commercial kitchens mostly use them it just never beat our love for good old fashioned cast iron, but why not?
